چکیده

This study aims to prove the effects of a single bout endurance exercise on decreased oxidative stress in young adults with overweight. used true experimental method pretest-posttest control group design. Twenty overweight women between ages 20 and 23 were recruited from college students randomly divided into CON (n = 10, without exercise) EEx group). The intervention is carried out once by running treadmill an intensity 60-70% HRmax for 40 minutes/exercise sessions. Malondialdehyde (MDA) levels as biomarker measured 30 minutes pre-exercise 24 hours post-exercise using Thiobarbituric Acid Reactive Substance (TBARs) method. results showed that MDA significantly training compared group. Results analysis (819.00±66.47 vs. 853.00±113.55 ng/mL; (P > 0.05), (810.00±120.19 596.00±67.57 < 0.05). Based this study, it was concluded session at reduces adolescent females.

Oxidative Stress Response to Short Duration Bout of Submaximal Aerobic Exercise in Healthy Young Adults

PURPOSE The purpose of this study was to investigate the oxidative stress response to a short duration bout of submaximal exercise in a cohort of healthy young adults. METHODS 15 apparently healthy college age males and females completed a modified Bruce-protocol treadmill test to 75-80% of their heart rate reserve. Blood samples collected immediately before (pre-exercise), immediately after,...

Lipid metabolism response to a single, prolonged bout of endurance exercise in healthy young men.

To discover the alterations in lipid metabolism linked to postexercise hypotriglyceridemia, we measured lipid kinetics, lipoprotein subclass distribution and lipid transfer enzymes in seven healthy, lean, young men the day after 2 h of cycling and rest. Compared with rest, exercise increased fatty acid rate of appearance and whole body fatty acid oxidation by approximately 65 and 40%, respectiv...

Department of Cardiac Function in LCAD Deficient Mice After a Single Bout of Endurance Exercise

Fa tty acids are the primary fuel source for cardiac tissue in both humans and animals. These become especially important during times of starvation and long bouts of exercise. Fatty acids are broken down into smaller, useable acyl-CoA subunits through a process called beta-oxidation. The first step in this process must be catalyzed by one of four acyl-CoA dehydrogenase enzymes depending on the...

Acute Exercise and Oxidative Stress: CrossFit™ vs. Treadmill Bout

CrossFit(™), a popular high-intensity training modality, has been the subject of scrutiny, with concerns of elevated risk of injury and health. Despite these concerns empirical evidence regarding physiologic stresses including acute oxidative stress is lacking. Therefore, the purpose of this investigation was to examine the acute redox response to a CrossFit(™) bout. Furthermore, these findings...

Oxidative Stress in Patients with Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus: Is It Affected by a Single Bout of Prolonged Exercise?

Presently, no clear-cut guidelines are available to suggest the more appropriate physical activity for patients with type 1 diabetes mellitus due to paucity of experimental data obtained under patients' usual life conditions. Accordingly, we explored the oxidative stress levels associated with a prolonged moderate intensity, but fatiguing, exercise performed under usual therapy in patients with...
